Job Description Gastroenterologist Opportunity in Louisiana Overview A 314-bed community hospital in Louisiana is seeking a Gastroenterologist to join its team due to the upcoming departure of a provider in late 2025. Join a collaborative group of 3 Gastroenterologists and 1 Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in a thriving practice with minimal competition and a robust referral network. Practice Details Team: Work alongside 3 experienced Gastroenterologists and 1 APP.

Facilities: State-of-the-art Endoscopy Center with 6 suites and an adjacent outpatient clinic. Volume: Current backlog of over 1,000 scopes. Providers perform 60-75 procedures and see approximately 35 patients per week in clinic.

Schedule: Balanced half-days of clinic and procedures, with a 1:4 shared call rotation. Scope of Practice: Focus on Bread & Butter GI; no ERCP or EUS required, as one provider already performs these. Inpatient Care: Rounding at the main hospital and a nearby regional facility.

EMR: Epic. Market: Serve a draw area of over 400,000 residents with only one other GI provider in the region. Referrals: Strong network with over 50 employed primary care physicians.

Satellite Clinics: No satellite clinic coverage required. Compensation & Benefits Base Salary: $675,000-$700,000, based on experience. Bonus Structure: 9,642 wRVU threshold with $70/unit payout Benefits: Comprehensive package including: $50,000 signing bonus Relocation assistance CME allowance Retirement plan Health, vision, and dental insurance Malpractice coverage Loan repayment options Community Location: A thriving lake community in Louisiana with 225,000 residents, centered around stunning waterfronts that define its vibrant culture.
