Job description

Position TitleManager, Epic Interoperability & Patient PlatformsJob Description

Purpose & Scope: 

Provides operational, technical, and people leadership for Epic-based interoperability and patient-facing platforms that enable secure, reliable access to health information across the care continuum. Owns day-to-day management and strategic optimization of MyChart, EpicCare Link, Care Everywhere, HIE integrations, and affiliated provider data exchange, including interfaces with external EMR systems. Leads a team of analysts through design, build, testing, implementation, support, and continuous improvement; partners with clinical, operational, compliance, and technical stakeholders to translate business and regulatory requirements into effective technical solutions. Independently manages multiple medium-scale initiatives end-to-end (planning, resourcing, risk/issue management, quality assurance, and change control) while ensuring privacy, security, and regulatory compliance for all data exchange.

Education: 

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, Computer Science, or related field (required);

Master's degree (preferred).

Experience: 

  • Minimum 3 years of Information Services/MIS experience (healthcare preferred), including 2+ years of applications experience.
  • Epic application experience required (MyChart, EpicCare Link, Care Everywhere; ambulatory modules preferred).
  • Experience supporting interoperability and Health Information Exchange (HIE) initiatives and managing interfaces/data exchange with external organizations.
  • Prior people leadership (direct supervision or project/team leadership) and experience managing medium-scale, cross-functional projects required.

Certification/Licensure: 

Epic application certification(s) relevant to assigned platforms (MyChart, EpicCare Link, Care Everywhere) required or to be obtained within 12 months.

CPHIMS, PMP, and/or Lean Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt) preferred.
