Job description


Under direct supervision; responsible for designing, developing, constructing, implementing, documenting, managing, and supporting secure data interfaces.
Responsibilities
  • Assists with research and fact-finding by developing or executing shred queries.
  • Documents resolutions to production findings and develops program specifications.
  • Assist with preparing detailed specifications from which programs will be written and developing unit test plans for modifications and solutions of production issues.
  • Recommends test users and ensures an acceptable quantity of testing has occurred.
  • Designs, code, tests, debugs, documents, and maintains programs.
  • Designs queries to extract, standardize, and de-identify data pulled from databases.
  • Collaborates with other data analysts to develop scripts and software for data visualizations and statistical analysis.
  • Collaborates with a team or works independently on creating new software, adapting existing code, and optimizing queries and processes to improve existing resources or develop new ones.
  • Resolves user testing and ensures programming standards and best practices are implemented and follow them.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Ability to read, write and modify scripts and programs written in VBScript, TCL, Python and C# is heavily desired.
  • Ability to configure Infor Cloverleaf interface engine and Progress MoveIT (SFTP) is a plus
  • Understands Windows OS, Windows and Unix\Linux File Systems.
  • Desired ability to manage and configure EPIC Bridges.
  • Desired knowledge of any interface engine such as Cloverleaf or Mirth.
  • Desire knowledge of SQL database and queries.
  • Ability to learn, implement and support existing and new technologies / data interfaces while working across teams to provide input on improvements to existing systems.
  • Ability to participate in an on-call environment that includes occasional after hours and weekend work.
  • Ability to efficiently adjust to changing priorities and complexities.
  • Ability to build and maintains positive working relationship within individual work groups and across departments through open communication and collaboration.
  • Ability to works with others to accomplish goals and objectives.
  • Detailed oriented with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects and tasks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work in a team environment.

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field or four (4) years of comparable experience may be substituted for a degree.

Experience:
  • Zero (0) years of experience required.
