Overview

We are seeking an Interface Analyst who will support our NYS client on the MECM project. This role will analyze interface requirements, design and implement data integration solutions, and ensure accurate, reliable data exchange between systems. The consultant will collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams to develop interface specifications, execute testing, troubleshoot integration issues, and maintain interface documentation.

Duties
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze interface requirements, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of business needs.
  • Assess system capabilities and technical feasibility to develop interface designs and specifications.
  • Design and implement data integration solutions, including data mappings, transformations, and validation rules.
  • Develop and execute interface testing strategies, identifying and resolving issues to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper integration and synchronization of data between systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve interface-related issues, working closely with technical teams and vendors if needed.
  • Monitor interface performance and proactively optimize data transmission and processing.
  • Develop and maintain interface documentation, including interface specifications, data flow diagrams, and user guides.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry standards related to interface design and integration.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior interface analysts, assisting in their professional development.
Mandatory Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience as an interface analyst or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of interface design concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Experience analyzing business requirements and translating them into technical specifications.
  • Proficiency in data integration techniques, such as message queues, APIs, or file-based transfers.
  • Solid understanding of data formats, protocols, and standards commonly used in interface development, including HL7, XML, and JSON.
  • Experience with interface testing and troubleshooting, including data validation and error handling.
  • Knowledge of database concepts and SQL query language.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
Desirable Qualifications
