Job description

EMR System Trainer

We are searching for an EMR System Epic Trainer - someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will design, develop, and deliver Epic training for end users and super users and act as a liaison between providers, clinical staff, and/or non-clinical users of the electronic medical record (EMR) while assuring that optimal usage is occurring.

MUST be Epic credentialed or certified in the Beaker application highly preferred

Must have training experience in classroom setting

Responsibilities

Develop and deliver structured and customized in-house training and development programs for all Epic end users.

Actively participate in EPIC Education Team Planning and Non-Team Training.

Provide front-end support with users to ensure that functionality of the EMR is being optimized.

Provides telephone support to EMR users.

Create user setup and resets passwords for new users of the electronic medical record.

Conducts management and staff training programs to provide an effective and interactive learning environment as needed to meet the organizational goals and objectives.

Recognize opportunities to improve individual and team performance and collaborate with others as appropriate to continually improve performance.

Provide real time training for physicians, other care providers, or non-clinical users of the EMR at their side, who utilize EPIC to document patient information when needed.

Proactively make yourself available in the patient care areas (inpatient units, physician practices, and ancillary support areas) to ensure that physicians, other care givers, or non-clinical EMR users are knowledgeable and proficient with EPIC modules.

Utilize EPIC reports to identify users who could benefit from additional coaching and proactively contacts them to ensure that the applications are being used efficiently and effectively.

Facilitate or co-facilitate customized training, team building and development programs for all Epic users.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED

5 years' experience teaching adult programs or related work particularly in an Epic EMR environment

Experience with Epic Beaker applications required.

Knowledge of various training methodologies required.

A general knowledge of PC hardware, networks and mainframe systems required
