Position Description:

CGI Federal is seeking a Front Desk Secretary to support EOIR/BIA in Falls Church, VA

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Manage various situations, problems, and deviations in office operations in accordance with the supervisor's general instructions, priorities, duties, policies, and program goals. The supervisor may assist with special assignments. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

a. Screen telephone calls, visitors, and incoming correspondence; personally respond to requests for information regarding office procedures; determine which requests should be handled by the supervisor, appropriate staff member, or other offices; prepare and sign routine non-technical correspondence in your own or the supervisor's name.

b. Schedule tentative appointments without prior clearance. Arrange conferences and meetings and gather established background materials as directed. May attend meetings and record and report on the proceedings.

c. Review outgoing materials and correspondence for internal consistency and adherence to the supervisor's procedures; ensure that proper clearances have been obtained when necessary.

d. Collect information from files or staff for routine inquiries on office programs or periodic reports, and refer non-routine requests to the supervisor or staff.

e. Explain the supervisor's requirements concerning office procedures to subordinate staff, coordinate personnel and administrative forms for the office, and forward them for processing.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Must be able to successfully obtain a DOJ Public Trust

High School Diploma

Must be able to pass CGI Federal background investigation

Hourly Rate: $23.86/hour

The determination of this range includes various factors including but not limited to: skill set level, relevant experience and training, and licensure and certifications. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
