Job description

Responsible for oversight, direction, and forward thinking of EOG geochemical efforts in exploration, production, and remediation. Design and coordinate the protocol application of geochemical techniques for various projects throughout some EOG divisions and provide technical guidance to division G&G staff regarding geochemical programs such as sampling, oil and gas analysis, pyrolysis methods, and source rock analysis. Oversee, develop, and provide training to division staff for technical aspects of geochemistry and their application. Oversee and prioritize group projects for division support. Work with a new EOG company geochemical database and new applications, such as various mapping techniques and basin modeling. Oversee any geochemistry work done on behalf of EOG by external contractors or consultants.

Bachelor's of Science degree in Chemistry, Geochemistry or Geology required; Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 10+ years of petroleum geochemistry experience required.  

Position will be filled at a level commensurate with experience.

Min $250,000.00 / Max $380,000.00
