Job Description
BAE Systems, one of the world's largest defense contractors and a stable Fortune 500 Company, is hiring a Modernization Infrastructure Project Manager.
Responsibilities:
Works with subcontractors, in-house engineers, procurement and teammates within the Program Management group to ensure projects are on schedule, on budget and executed safely.
Report to the Radford Modernization Lead Program Manager and be responsible for the execution of various projects at the Radford Army Ammunition Plant (RFAAP).
Solve complex technical problems by providing leadership for developing project plans and their implementation.
Communicate summaries and recommendations to the Radford Modernization Lead Program Manager based on assessment program issues.
Determine project risks and coordinates appropriate mitigation activities.
Provide input to the program with regards to the impact of Risks and Opportunities on the schedule.
Prepare proposals, cost estimates, and establish budgets for various programs.
Proposal Development: Responsibility for leading a team through proposal development of various programs in a manner to create a winning solution for the US Government and BAE.
Project Management: Responsibility for executing programs and leading the required team through all aspects of execution from proposal through commissioning and turn over to production.
Risk / Opportunity Management: Responsible for Risk / Opportunity Identification, assessment, mitigation, and tracking.
Management Meetings.
Assists the Radford Modernization Lead Program Manager in upper management meetings and in customer briefings/presentations.
Projects Monitoring.
Monitors and reports on the program in the following project management areas:
o Project Integration
o Scope Management
o Time Management (schedules)
o Cost Management
o Quality Management
o Communications Management
o Construction Progress / Construction Monitoring
o Customer Relations Management
o RFAAP Production Coordination
o RFAAP Support Groups (Safety, Environmental, Security, etc.) Coordination
o Projects Reporting. Provides regular reports to the Radford Modernization Lead Program Manager
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
BS Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or Business Management with 6+ years of experience or equivalent education/experience
Experience managing programs and working with technical documentation including proposals.
Proficient with MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project.
Experience working with subcontractors for a variety of construction and skilled trades.
Experience creating and managing project schedules and project budget / financing.
Experience in creating proposals and construction estimates.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Experience as a manager on design and engineering, design-build, construction, engineer-procure-construct (EPC) projects.
Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute (PMI), PMBOK training or equivalent.
Experience working on government contracts, ideally projects for the US Department of Defense.
Experience working industrial, chemical or oil and gas industry, strong financial background, Earned Value Management (EVM), AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, GIS, BlueBeam and chemical manufacturing industry experience
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $107359 - $182510

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
