Job description

The Director of Safety, Environmental & Security will provide strategic leadership and oversight for all Safety, Environmental, and Security programs across Price HVAC, supporting multiple US and Canada plant locations. This role is responsible for developing a comprehensive EHS&S vision, leading a team of professionals, and ensuring a culture of safety, environmental stewardship, and physical security excellence across all sites.

The Director will build leadership capability within the EHS&S organization, drive continuous improvement, and ensure all operations meet or exceed regulatory requirements and company standards.

Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a multi-site team of Safety, Environmental, and Security professionals; establish leadership development plans aligned to EHS&S competencies.

  • Develop and execute an integrated EHS&S strategy, including safety performance, environmental sustainability, and site security.

  • Establish KPIs, dashboards, and governance structures across all facilities.

  • Partner with senior leadership to embed a culture of safety, environmental responsibility, and risk awareness into all operations.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Maintain expert-level knowledge of all applicable OSHA, EPA, and security-related regulations across jurisdictions.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state/provincial, and local regulations for:

    • Occupational safety

    • Environmental programs (air, water, waste, hazardous materials)

    • Facility and physical security standards

  • Oversee execution of Safety, Environmental, and Security policies across all sites.

  • Lead enterprise risk assessments covering:

    • Workplace hazards

    • Environmental impact risks

    • Physical and operational security vulnerabilities

Programs & Initiatives

  • Lead company-wide programs including:

    • Worker’s compensation

    • Incident reporting and investigation

    • Ergonomics and industrial hygiene

    • Environmental compliance and sustainability

    • Security and emergency response programs

  • Serve as the senior subject matter expert for EHS&S across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in EHS or EHS&S within manufacturing, distribution, or production environments.

  • Demonstrated success leading multisite EHS, Environmental, and/or Security programs.

  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and risk management principles.

  • Proven ability to influence senior leadership and drive culture change
