Job description


BAE Systems is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead large-scale facility modernization and expansion projects at the Holston Army Ammunition Plant. As a Program Manager, you will deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards, while leading a cross-functional team and communicating effectively with executive leadership and government customers.
Required Skills and Education
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Project Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams to deliver large-scale (> $100M) complex Capital Investment projects, ensuring timely, budgeted, and quality delivery.
  2. Profit and Loss Management: Manage project finances, ensuring budget adherence and financial target achievement.
  3. Communication and Reporting: Provide regular updates to executive leadership and government customers on project status, progress, and issues.
  4. Sub-contractor and Supplier Management: Oversee sub-contractors and suppliers to ensure project requirements and quality standards are met.
  5. Project Planning and Control: Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure successful project delivery.
  6. Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to ensure project success.
Necessary Qualifications:
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business from an accredited institution.
  2. Experience: Minimum 8 years of relevant project management experience in Defense, Construction, or Oil/Gas/Chemical industries.
  3. Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication with upper management and customers.
