We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to become a vital member of our School Mental Health Team within a private education institution situated in Johnson, Kansas. This role takes place in a remote working environment, allowing you to interact flexibly with students, families, and staff while maintaining work-life balance. The Hospice Center serves as our main facility, focusing on a compassionate and understanding approach to care. • Conduct thorough mental health assessments for students, taking into consideration their personal histories, presenting concerns, and identifying risk factors that may affect their academic or social success.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans that address each student's unique mental health needs while promoting emotional resilience and integration within the school community.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and trauma-informed approaches during individual and group therapy sessions to help students develop coping mechanisms and emotional regulation skills.
• Coordinate care with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to ensure that students receive comprehensive support tailored to their needs.
• Respond promptly to mental health crises, employing de-escalation techniques and making necessary referrals to higher levels of care when required.
• Educate students and their families about mental health issues, empowering them to access resources, understand treatment options, and promote mental wellness.
• Document assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes with accuracy and in accordance with legal and ethical standards while utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Engage actively in team meetings, case conferences, and continuous professional development opportunities to enhance collaborative efforts within our multidisciplinary team.

Our primary focus is on students from kindergarten through 12th grade, encompassing a range of developmental stages and mental health challenges. You will work with students who may experience anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, or trauma-related experiences, connecting with them through empathy and understanding. Each interaction is aimed at fostering resilience, emotional growth, and integration into the school environment.

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
• Valid and current LCSW licensure in the state of Kansas.
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in mental health or educational settings, with an emphasis on working with youth.
• Deep understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities.
• Experience in delivering individual and group therapy with proficiency in a variety of therapeutic techniques.
• Strong crisis intervention skills with the ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build meaningful relationships with students and families from diverse backgrounds.
• Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and competent in leveraging technology for therapeutic purposes.

Experience in school-based settings or with adolescents is highly valued. Familiarity with trauma-informed care principles, as well as clinical experience in offering crisis intervention, would also be advantageous for this role.

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with your experience and qualifications.
