Job Description
CDM Smith is looking for an entry-level Environmental or Civil Engineering Intern to join our team!
This internship offers hands-on experience across planning, design, and construction while providing opportunities to learn from experienced professionals and build a strong foundation for a career in engineering.You'll work with a dynamic team of industry-leading engineers on a diverse portfolio of municipal, federal, and industrial projects while collaborating with senior engineers, peer interns, and multidisciplinary project teams.
As a CDM Smith Intern, you will research engineering solutions and support project analyses, reporting, and design activities. You will also assist in developing technical documents and presentations using tools such as ArcGIS, SWMM, CADD, Excel, and other software.
Responsibilities may include:
  • Supporting engineering analyses and design efforts on water, wastewater, and environmental projects.
  • Assisting with technical reports, calculations, and project documentation.
  • Developing maps, figures, presentations, and other project materials.
  • Participating in fieldwork and construction management activities, providing exposure to the full project lifecycle.

Qualifications
Currently enrolled and taking courses toward a Bachelors in Environmental, Civil, Chemical Engineering or a related engineering field is required.

CDM Smith is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. This pay range is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels for the geographic location assigned to the position. In addition to geographic location, a candidate's salary is determined by several other factors including, but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, relevant work experience, skills, required certifications, and education/training.

All bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may or may not apply to this position.
