Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Environmental Awareness

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Environmental Awareness in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees, customers, and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally, and report security-related concerns. Mon 05:30 AM - 01:30 PM

Tue 05:30 AM - 01:30 PM

Wed 05:30 AM - 01:30 PM

Thur 05:30 AM - 01:30 PM

Fri 05:30 AM - 01:30 PM

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and customers at a financial institution by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, documenting incidents, irregularities, and maintenance concerns in accordance with site procedures.
  • Assist with maintaining an orderly environment by providing directions, answering questions, and communicating professionally with clients, visitors, and first responders.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
