What is an environmental and safety manager?

Environmental and Safety Managers are professionals responsible for ensuring that an organization complies with environmental regulations and occupational health and safety standards. They develop, implement, and monitor policies and programs to minimize environmental impact and protect the health and safety of employees. Their duties often include conducting risk assessments, training staff, investigating incidents, and coordinating with regulatory agencies to maintain compliance. These managers play a crucial role in promoting sustainable and safe workplace practices.

What are some common challenges environmental and safety managers face when implementing new safety protocols?

Environmental and Safety Managers often encounter resistance to change from employees who are accustomed to established routines. Successfully implementing new safety protocols requires clear communication, thorough training, and consistent follow-up to ensure compliance.
