Job Title: Audio & Video Content Moderator / Field Recorder

Location: Boise, ID (On-site / Field-based)

Duration: 6 – 12 Months (Contract)

Candidate should be having an own Car.

Position Overview

We are seeking an energetic, detail-oriented Content Moderator and Field Recorder to capture high-quality video and audio content across various locations in and around Boise, ID. The ideal candidate possesses strong interpersonal skills to moderate sessions effectively, combined with the technical capability to manage equipment and local travel independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Session Moderation:
    • Guide participants through structured discussions, audio sessions, and video prompts.
    • Maintain participant engagement, enforce recording protocols, and ensure clear communication.
  • Field Video & Audio Recording:
    • Travel to assigned locations throughout Boise, ID to set up and record sessions.
    • Execute end-to-end recording plans according to project specifications.
  • Equipment Setup & Operation:
    • Transport, configure, and operate cameras, tripods, microphones, and basic lighting gear independently.
    • Ensure proper camera placement, framing, and sound monitoring during live sessions.
  • Quality Assurance & Media Management:
    • Monitor audio levels and video clarity in real time to meet high production standards.
    • Organize, label, and securely upload recorded media files to designated cloud storage systems post-session.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Personal Transportation: Must possess a reliable personal vehicle and a valid driver''s license for travel to various recording sites in Boise, ID.
  • Required Equipment: Must own and bring a high-definition camera setup and sturdy tripod(s) suitable for professional video and audio capture.
  • Experience & Technical Skills:
    • Hands-on experience operating cameras, tripods, and external audio recorders.
    • Familiarity with digital media file formats and cloud file-sharing platforms.
  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills to manage participants, lead sessions, and keep schedules on track.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in market research moderation, focus group facilitation, video journalism, or media production.
  • Knowledge of local Boise routes and navigation.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Requires regular local travel within the greater Boise area.
  • Physical ability to lift, carry, assemble, and pack down tripod and camera equipment (up to 30 lbs).
