Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking reliable and customer-focused Junior POS Support Technicians to join our team for a recurring event-based assignment throughout August. This role provides onsite technical support for Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and related equipment during live events, helping ensure uninterrupted operations and a positive customer experience.

This is a W-2 position with scheduled event shifts. Candidates must be available to work multiple event dates and be comfortable providing hands-on technical support in fast-paced retail, stadium, arena, or entertainment environments.

Schedule

  • Multiple event dates throughout July & August (LISTED BELOW - PLEASE REVIEW)
  • Required onsite arrival time: 5:00 PM
  • Shift duration typically runs through 10:00 PM
  • Technicians may be required to remain onsite beyond scheduled end times if additional support is needed

Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite support for POS systems and peripherals during events
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with cash registers, POS terminals, payment devices, receipt printers, and barcode scanners
  • Replace and swap malfunctioning POS equipment as needed
  • Verify proper operation and network connectivity of replacement equipment
  • Assist with basic cabling, device setup, and peripheral connections
  • Perform functionality testing following repairs or equipment swaps
  • Document work performed, including asset information, serial numbers, and troubleshooting activities
  • Provide status updates to project managers and remote support teams
  • Escalate complex issues requiring advanced technical assistance
  • Maintain a professional presence while supporting end users and event staff

Qualifications

  • Basic computer hardware and troubleshooting experience
  • Familiarity with POS systems, cash registers, payment terminals, and retail technology preferred
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to follow documented procedures and remote guidance
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
