Job description

Position Requirements

Perform duties to inspect a variety of one -way clutch assemblies and component to ensure conformance with company

standards, Military standards and customer specifications. Package and prepare units for shipment.

Work from prints, purchase orders, work sheets, schedule sheets, shippers, operating procedures and instructions:

  • Plan inspection methods and procedures to perform final inspection methods and procedure to perform final inspections on one-way clutch assemblies, cage, ribbon, drag strips and static bands.
  • Check and verify parts to be inspected with accompanying paperwork and to determine inspection methods and inspection tool needs.
  • Setup inspection tools and fixtures and perform necessary inspection measurements to ensure parts are in conformance with required specifications standards.
  • Calibrate gages at set intervals.
  • Complete required inspection and calibration forms, discrepant material reports, log sheets and manufacturing routing sheets.
  • Check and verify that conformance certifications meet prescribe specifications requirements.
  • Move and handle discrepant material in accordance with aircraft operating procedures.
  • Input necessary data into the mainframe computer and personal computer.
  • Clean and degrease components prior to inspection as necessary.
  • Package completed units for shipments in accordance with customer specifications, prepare shipping documentation, generate and apply code labels and stamp as required.
  • Interact with Customer Source Inspector to obtain shipping authorization.

Use a variety of precision inspection tools and instruments, super micrometer, hardness testing machine, computer

assisted optical comparator, gage blocks, gage fixture, calibration gage standards, scale, vacuum pack shrink wrap

machine, carts and hand tools.

Follow safety rules and keep work area in a clean and orderly condition.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Rate: $18.20-26.67

Internal Candidates: Eligibility to Bid

Employees with less than one year of service are only eligible to bid on higher paying labor grade positions.

Employees with more than one year of service will receive first consideration.

Employees in a Disciplinary Step 1 are eligible to bid on any job.

Employees in Step 2 are eligible to bid on any job after 1 year.

Employees in Step 3 are eligible to bid on any job after 1 year.

If an employee accepted a new position, they cannot bid on the same or lower paying labor grade for 1 year.

If you were previously forced out of this job classification and are interested in returning to the position, you must complete a job bidding form.

This Position requires that you be able to Read and Write English;

Applicants must meet all criteria in the job bidding process

Employees who have been interviewed within 6 months for the SAME exact position may not be re-interview.
