What You'll Do
  • Diagnose and repair gaming consoles
  • Test and refurbish controllers
  • Troubleshoot gaming accessories
  • Restore products to resale quality
  • Work with PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and more

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Erase all data stored on electronic devices and ensure no unauthorized information remains before products are refurbished for resale.
  • Clean electronic devices thoroughly to restore them to optimal condition for sale while adhering to cleanliness and quality standards.
  • Perform rigorous functionality testing on electronic devices to ensure compliance with original manufacturer specifications and quality standards.
  • Pack orders accurately and securely according to Pick-to-Light system instructions to ensure products are properly arranged for shipment.
  • Collaborate with team members across Refurbishment and Fulfillment Centers to achieve departmental objectives and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Report issues that may impact production timelines, safety, or product quality to management in a timely manner.
  • Follow all safety procedures and exercise sound judgment in operational and loss-prevention practices.
  • Demonstrate GameStop's core values through a strong work ethic, professionalism, integrity, and respect for diversity.
  • Support other departments as business needs require, maintaining flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities.
  • Follow established guidelines outlined in the DC/Refurb Associate Handbook to ensure operational consistency and efficiency.

Basic and Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to lift and carry boxes weighing up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to lift products weighing up to 10 pounds from heights of up to six feet.
  • Ability to push boxes weighing up to 30 pounds along a mechanically assisted conveyor.
  • Capable of standing, bending, lifting, and performing physical tasks for extended periods (eight or more hours per day).

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and consistently meet production goals.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Basic math skills, including familiarity with Roman numerals.
  • Ability to work comfortably in confined spaces approximately three feet wide.
  • Knowledge of and adherence to GameStop policies and procedures regarding attendance, safety, confidentiality, and ethical conduct.
