Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Charlotte, NC that is seeking an L3 Field Network Wireless Engineer.
Summary:
We are seeking two Wireless Field Network Engineers to support network integration activities for newly acquired locations. This role is heavily focused on wireless LAN (WLAN) deployments, surveys, and troubleshooting, with approximately 90% wireless work and 10% routing and switching responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform wireless LAN (WLAN) surveys, deployment, and support activities across acquisition sites
* Conduct and analyze wireless site surveys using Ekahau (required)
* Support wireless network design, implementation, optimization, and troubleshooting efforts
* Provide basic routing and switching support as needed
* Assist with SD-WAN deployments, including installation of failover devices and connectivity solutions
* Support WAN connectivity extensions and site integration activities
* Travel to customer locations to support network deployments, migrations, and cutovers
* Partner with engineering and project teams to ensure successful network integrations
REQUIREMENTS:
* Strong hands-on experience with wireless LAN technologies
* Ekahau Surveying experience is a must-have requirement
* Experience conducting wireless site surveys, assessments, and implementations
* Working knowledge of routing and switching fundamentals
* Exposure to SD-WAN technologies and network deployment activities
* Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
* Ability to work independently in the field and support multiple projects simultaneously
This opportunity is ideal for a wireless-focused Network Engineer who enjoys hands-on field work, site deployments, and supporting large-scale network integration projects.
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
