Technologist, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Wireless Network Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cutting-edge wireless networking solutions that support our company's mission to deliver reliable and high-performance connectivity. This position requires a thorough understanding of wireless technologies, Wi-Fi protocols, and security standards to ensure robust and scalable network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with the latest wireless equipment and tools, a deep understanding of industry best practices, and the ability to adapt to evolving technological landscapes. What You Will Do:
  • Demonstrate expertise in RF fundamentals, wireless protocols (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax), wireless authentication methodologies (802.1X), and cellular technologies (4G LTE, 5G).
  • Work with carriers and understand signal sources.
  • Demonstrate expert level wireless and cellular network design, planning and performance optimization.
  • Architect and deploy enterprise level Wi-Fi solutions (e.g., Wi-Fi 6/6E/7) with a focus on scalability, security, and high availability.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of leading wireless and AAA platforms (e.g., Ruckus, Aruba Clearpass and Cisco ISE).
  • Demonstrate expertise with DAS design tools and wireless survey tools for troubleshooting, modeling and post-deployment optimization of DAS and Wireless enterprise networks.
  • Understanding of network infrastructure as it relates to wireless performance.
  • Interpret floor plans, construction materials, and understand their impact on RF propagation.
  • Configure, test, and troubleshoot wireless network equipment such as access points, controllers, and antennas.
  • Monitor network performance and implement tuning measures to optimize wireless connectivity and reliability.
  • Collaborate with IT and security teams to ensure wireless network security protocols are enforced and updated.
  • Document network configurations, processes, and incident reports to maintain comprehensive records.
  • Stay current with emerging wireless technologies and recommend upgrades or enhancements to improve network efficiency.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • Minimum 5 (five) years of experience working as a Wireless Network Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check at the level of Public Trust, Tier 1.
