Position Summary:

  • A Mounting Utility Worker is an entry-level position who supports the Press Operators by assisting the plate mounting tech in washing and preparing plates for upcoming print jobs. Performs quality assurance checks throughout the day.

Duties to include:

  • Using the plate washer to clean plates
  • Changing washer fluid in the Plate washer
  • Wash plates by hand when the washer is down for repairs (it breaks down frequently)
  • Wrapping and returning the plates to tube locations
  • Learning mounting tasks
  • Staging plates for upcoming jobs
  • Helping on press
  • Helping in the ink room
  • Cleaning and dusting
  • All mounting related paperwork

Requirements:

  • This is an entry level role but previous manufacturing, mounting or printing experience is always a plus
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to climb stairs frequently
