Job Description:

We are seeking an Entry-Level Water Treatment Mechanic to assist in the maintenance and repair of equipment within water treatment facilities. You will work under close supervision and receive on-the-job training to develop skills and technical understanding.

Responsibilities:

  • Support experienced mechanics and operations staff in ensuring system functionality and compliance with safety standards.
  • Assist in routine maintenance and repair pumps, motors, valves, piping systems, chemical feed systems, and other treatment equipment.
  • Maintain equipment areas in clean and organized conditions.
  • Assist with mechanical installations and upgrades under supervision.
  • Prepare clear and accurate reports of site and project activities.
  • Participate in safety training and adhere to all safety protocols.
  • Engage in the LPS system by performing LPO's and sharing LPSA's.
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to provide service response and continuity.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in environmental sciences or related field preferred.
  • 0-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Basic understanding of equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Adept at using electronic media, cloud-based systems, tablets, and other forms of technology.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
