Job description

Warehouse Material Assembler

The Warehouse Material Assembler is responsible for processing, cutting, and assembling Q-Lon weather-stripping products while supporting daily warehouse operations. This role requires a self-motivated individual who thrives both independently and in team settings, maintains high safety standards, and brings consistent detail to repetitive tasks.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Core Assembly: Measure, cut, and assemble Q-Lon materials according to specific order guidelines using a chop saw (entry-level operating knowledge required).
  • Shipping & Receiving: Occasionally assist with receiving incoming stock, preparing/assembling outbound shipments, and staging orders for transport.
  • Material Handling: Occasionally load and unload freight trailers; occasionally operate a forklift (onsite training provided).
  • Facility Upkeep: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment through daily general housekeeping.
  • Safety & Compliance: Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols and consistently wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Self-Motivation: Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively with teammates.
  • Focus & Stamina: Able to perform repetitive, detail-oriented assembly tasks consistently and accurately.
  • Equipment Knowledge: Basic entry-level familiarity with a chop saw; willing to undergo and pass forklift operation training.
  • Physical Capability: Comfortable working in an environment that is heated during winter but non-air-conditioned during warmer months.
  • Safety First: Commitment to wearing all designated PPE and maintaining a clean work surface.
  • Must be able to listen to and follow instructions

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma required
Physical Demands
  • Lifting frequently. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
  • Standing for extended periods, up to 6 hours per day.
  • Walking, continuously.
  • Climbing ladders while carrying weight.
  • Wearing personal protective gear correctly including glasses, gloves and other PPE required.
Work Environment

Ability to work comfortably in a warehouse setting that is heated throughout the winter but exposed to warm seasonal temperatures during the summer (no central air conditioning).
