JOB SUMMARY:

The Digital Marketing Intern is an entry-level role and will get a chance to learn important skills and gain professional experience by working on campaigns with our digital marketing team. This role supports a company's online marketing efforts, assisting with tasks like social media management, SEO, email marketing, and content creation.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Current students in a 4-year post-secondary program, but recent graduates can also apply. Our ideal intern candidate has graphic design skills to produce high-quality, trendy content for social media platforms, including Instagram and Facebook. Ability to communicate effectively with guests, team members, and management in both written and verbal form. Excellent written, spelling, and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills. A real enthusiasm to learn and take on new challenges.

  1. Software Skillset (Not Required but Preferred):
    • An understanding of modern digital techniques, including web, social and template design.
    • Working knowledge of Adobe Suite.
    • Some experience with animation or video editing.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. CRM (Customer Relationship Management) – Email Design and Content Development:
    • Assist in the design and development of engaging email templates using email marketing platforms (e.g., Acton).
    • Create compelling email content, including subject lines, body copy, and calls-to-action.
    • Analyze email campaign performance metrics (open rates, click-through rates, etc.) and generate reports.
    • Assist in the automation of email workflows.
  1. Social Media Management:
    • Assist in creating and scheduling social media content across various platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn).
    • Monitor social media channels for engagement and feedback.
  1. Website Management:
    • Assist in updating website content using a Content Management System (CMS).
    • Assist in Search Engine Optimization (SEO) tasks, such as keyword research and on-page optimization.
    • Help to test website functionality and usability.
    • Assist in the creation of landing pages.
  1. General Marketing Support:
    • Assist with other digital marketing tasks as assigned and instructed by management.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work.  However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying light items such as papers, books, small parts; driving an automobile, etc.  No special physical demands are required to perform the work.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts requiring normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, libraries, and residences or commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lit, heated, and ventilated. The work environment involves exposure to secondhand smoke in a casino. This is a 24 hour/7 day a week work environment with varying shifts including weekends and holidays.
