Job description

Senior Short-Form Video Editor

Team Serena is hiring a Las Vegas-based, full-time Senior Short-Form Video Editor to help shape the videos behind Serena Neel (@SerenaNeel), a creator with 16M+ followers across platforms and billions of lifetime views.

We make personality-driven lifestyle, DIY, challenge, and entertainment content, and we're looking for an editor with exceptional instincts for comedic timing, pacing, storytelling, and retention.

This role is about making Serena's videos feel like Serena.

She already has a distinct editing style and voice. We're looking for someone who can understand why it works, match it closely, and make every video better within it. Your creativity matters, but it should serve Serena's voice and the story rather than introduce an entirely different editing style.

If you love digging through an hour of footage to find the five-second moment that makes the entire video, you'll probably love this job.

What you'll do
  • Turn 30โ€“60 minutes of raw footage into polished 2:30โ€“3:00 minute videos
  • Edit roughly 8โ€“10 finished videos per week
  • Own edits from raw footage through final delivery
  • Find the funniest, most memorable, and most important moments in the footage
  • Make strong decisions around hooks, pacing, structure, captions, comedic beats, and payoffs
  • Pitch alternate hooks, storylines, or endings when a video calls for it
  • Work directly with Thomas and Serena on bigger creative and storyline decisions
  • Turn feedback into strong revisions quickly, typically across 1โ€“3 rounds
  • Occasionally edit story content
What we're looking for
  • An for comedic timing and storytelling. We care more about your instincts and the quality of your work than the number of years on your rรฉsumรฉ.
  • Someone who cares. A lot. You notice the tiny things, obsess over whether a moment actually lands, and don't settle for an edit that's just good enough.
  • A track record of editing genuinely great personality-driven or creator content
  • Strong short-form retention and pacing instincts
  • The ability to closely match an established creator's editing style
  • Fast, decisive, and comfortable making creative decisions independently
  • Highly organized and reliable
  • Able to take direct feedback and turn revisions quickly

We currently collaborate primarily through CapCut Cloud, which allows Serena to jump into projects for final tweaks when needed, but we're open to other workflows that make collaboration just as seamless.

The opportunity

Youโ€™ll be part of a small creative team making videos seen by millions of people.

Youโ€™ll work directly with Serena and Thomas, have meaningful input on how videos come together, and see your work go from raw footage to a massive audience very quickly.

We make a lot of content, which means a lot of creative variety and a lot of opportunities to make something great.

There will also be opportunities to edit longer-form YouTube content for someone interested in expanding beyond short-form.

Details
  • $110,000โ€“$120,000 per year
  • Full-time W-2 employee + paid time off
  • Must be based or willing to relocate to Las Vegas. This is an in-person role, with flexibility for occasional remote days.
  • Schedule varies based on production needs and posting schedules. Editing is typically done afternoons and evenings, with early mornings when quick turnarounds require it.
  • Reports to Thomas, Co-Founder

This is a full-time employee role, not a freelance or contract position. We're looking for someone whose primary professional focus is Serena and our team, not someone balancing an ongoing roster of outside editing clients.
