Description:

The A's are seeking a creative and highly motivated Video Producer to join our dynamic Content team. This role is responsible for conceptualizing, shooting, and editing compelling video content that brings the story of our team, players, and fans to life. The ideal candidate has a deep passion for baseball, a keen eye for visual storytelling, and the technical expertise to produce high-end content for our social media channels, website, television broadcasts, and in-venue videoboards.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce, shoot, and edit a wide variety of video projects, including player features, game highlights, social media trends, promotional campaigns, and documentary-style long-form content.
  • Tailor and provide video assets in various specifications and dimensions for optimal performance across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, X, and Facebook, as well as stadium displays.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop innovative video concepts that align with the organization's marketing and digital strategies.
  • Oversee projects from pre-production (storyboarding, scripting, logistics) through production (lighting, audio, camera operation) and post-production (editing, color grading, sound design).
  • Work closely with Social Media, Marketing, Corporate Partnerships, and Baseball Communications to fulfill specific video requests and ensure brand consistency.
  • Capture on-field action, behind-the-scenes moments, and fan reactions during home games (and select road trips) to provide real-time content.
  • Log, tag, and archive game footage and interviews within the team's media asset management system for easy retrieval.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • 3+ years of video production experience, preferably within the sports industry or a fast-paced agency environment.
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator). Experience with color grading (DaVinci Resolve) and sound mixing is a plus.
  • Strong background operating cinema cameras (e.g., Sony FX9/FX6, RED, ARRI) as well as mirrorless/DSLR setups, gimbals, and drones.
  • A strong understanding of baseball rules, history, and culture to accurately capture the rhythm and emotion of the game.
  • Excellent time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Willing and able to work non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy production equipment (up to 50 lbs) around the stadium.
  • Willing and able to travel; may be required for Spring Training, select regular-season road trips, and postseason play.
