Job description

Marks Clearing & Grading is seeking an experienced Traffic Control Foreman to lead our traffic control operations. We are looking for someone with the knowledge, leadership ability, and field experience to take ownership of crews, jobsite safety, and daily execution.

This is not an entry-level position. We need a proven leader who can step in, take charge, and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all regulations.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and supervise traffic control crews on active construction sites
  • Read and implement traffic control plans (TCPs)
  • Ensure compliance with DOT and OSHA safety standards
  • Coordinate daily scheduling, crew assignments, and equipment needs
  • Maintain clear communication with project managers and superintendents
  • Train and mentor crew members
  • Ensure proper setup, maintenance, and removal of traffic control devices
  • Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in traffic control with leadership/supervisory experience
  • Strong knowledge of MUTCD standards
  • Ability to read and interpret traffic control plans
  • Valid driverโ€™s license (CDL preferred but not required)
  • Reliable, dependable, and safetydriven
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
