Job description

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Our operational roles are so important to our company s success. Therefore we recognize the value that each and every one of our craft workers bring to the project and in return we are offering an opportunity to broaden your skills within a team of skilled industry professionals on some of the most notable projects. As a Airport Flagger, you must will be responsible for the following duties:
Responsibilities
  • Escort and guide construction traffic from the security gate to the project location
  • Check security clearances of personnel coming into the secured area
  • Ensure construction vehicles are staying inside the project limits
  • Communicate with other flaggers to escort drivers in and out of the project site during mass hauling operations

Qualifications
  • Be able to pass a federal background check
  • Be able to pass a drug test
  • Previous experience in highway or airport traffic control operations is preferred
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of a Airport Flagger the employee is regularly required to sit; stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and work in a fast paced environment. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 90 pounds or more. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close proximity vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Good hand/eye coordination is required.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School Diploma
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be willing to work through natures elements (i.e. rain, snow, etc)
  • Able to communicate in English fluently
  • Able to work flexible schedules including nights/holidays and weekends
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to frequently and steadily lift baggage at 90 pounds or above
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Must be self-motivated and willing to learn
  • Customer service driven
  • Must be comfortable and capable of working safely around industrial equipment
  • Ability to be badged to work in secure areas of an airport
