This hands-on role manages marketing programs, fosters partner relationships, and creates engaging content to support Iowa's tourism and economic development goals through strategic marketing, storytelling, and collaboration.

About this Opportunity The Marketing Manager supports IEDA's mission to make Iowa the choice for people and business by delivering strategic tourism marketing initiatives that promote the state as a compelling destination to visit, live, and work. This role is responsible for executing marketing programs, building strong partnerships, and telling Iowa's story through engaging media content. Key responsibilities include: Managing tourism marketing programs by coordinating partner-based initiatives, overseeing timelines and deliverables, and supporting program evaluation and improvement.

Executing marketing campaigns and projects, serving as a project manager for assigned initiatives such as digital campaigns and publications, while coordinating vendors, partners, and internal teams. Developing compelling content by writing and editing marketing materials across platforms and traveling throughout Iowa to capture stories and promote tourism assets. Ideal candidates possess: Experience working with tourism, destination marketing, or economic development initiatives.

Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with partners, vendors, and stakeholders. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience developing marketing or media-focused content.
