As a Human Resources Coordinator at Arapahoe Basin, you'll handle essential HR tasks that keep our team running smoothly. This entry-level role is an opportunity to grow professionally while working with our HR Manager and Director.

WAGE:

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high ends of Arapahoe Basin's hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, and responsibilities. The range listed is just one component of Arapahoe Basin's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.

Hourly pay range: $20.00 - $25.92/hour

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Provide employees with excellent customer service and the best employee experience

  • Understand A-Basin's internal and external vibe; foster the spread of the culture to all employees

  • Help our HR Manager with employee housing responsibilities

  • Process employment and data changes in the HRIS system; ensure changes are compliant, accurate, and timely

  • Ensure onboarding tasks are completed by applicants and managers in the HRIS system; activate employees on start date; ensure I-9 compliance

  • Assist the HR Talent Acquisition Specialist with preparing materials for and running weekly employee orientations

  • Administer uniform issuance and return, inventory and tracking, cleaning and re-ordering

  • Administer employee helmet issuance, inventory, and ordering

  • Administer employee perks programs such as Real Deals, Medallions, Gold Coins, etc.

  • Be responsible for company key issuance; assist the Facilities Manager with key inventory and re-ordering

  • Coordinate employee events with assistance from the HR team

  • Organize supply closet and ensure inventory is full

  • Manage employee pass distribution and deactivation upon termination

  • Respond to employee inquiries through our TDX ticketing system promptly

  • Follow departmental sustainability guidelines as expected

  • Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1 year of administration, HR, or supervisory experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and public speaking ability

  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills

  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

  • Ability to act with integrity and professionalism

  • Dependency; ability to respond to management direction

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software, proficiency with HRIS system or ability to learn organization's HRIS system (Workday)

  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English

  • Must be available on weekends and holidays

  • This position requires successful completion of a Criminal & Motor Vehicle Record background check

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to walk and navigate stairs in snowy, slippery conditions

  • Ability to: bend, twist, kneel, pull, push, and lift up to 30 lbs.

  • Ability to withstand high-altitude environments at all times

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • This position will mostly work indoors - in an office setting while using a computer. This role is based in an office situated in a high-alpine environment, where employees work in various weather conditions. There is frequent interaction with employees, both electronically and in person. There is a high amount of traffic through the HR offices throughout the day. Traveling and riding a chairlift may be required for this role.
