Job description

Technical Project Manager

Expedient is in search of a Technical Project Manager to join the Service Delivery & Implementation department. This role requires 2-3 years of experience as a Technical Project Manager in an Information Technology role. This role is the primary point-of-contact for planning the delivery and implementation of the services and solutions that we sell to our clients. This role is responsible for maintaining client satisfaction during the project and your success relies heavily on your ability to plan, communicate, and set clear expectations with everyone involved.

This is a hybrid position requiring proximity to one of our eligible office locations which include Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Indianapolis, Columbus, Memphis, Milwaukee, Baltimore, Phoenix and Denver. Sponsorship is not provided for this role.

What you'll do:

  • Manage service expansions including data center, network connectivity, and virtualization technologies
  • Work with clients to deploy virtual environments into new shared public, and/or private dedicated platforms
  • Effective communication skills that will facilitate completion of projects including, but not limited to:
    • Post-sale design and planning meetings with Expedient engineering resources and the client.
    • Estimated revenue recognition forecasting based on project milestones
    • Maintain accountability for changes to the project scope including development and execution of project change requests
    • Ensure appropriate documentation is generated and maintained through project life cycle

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • Work experience as a Project Manager or Project Coordinator in an Information Technology role
  • Work experience managing projects encompassing any of the following technologies or disciplines:
    • Data Center migrations
    • Network provisioning and cutovers
    • IT service & software implementations and migrations
    • Agile / Waterfall / Scrum / Kanban Project Management Methodologies

Required skills:

  • Priority consideration given to individuals with certification in Project Management, such as PMP or CAPM.
  • Proficiency in project planning, project management and various software tools including, but not limited to, Monday.com to help manage tasks, resources, timelines, and communication.
  • Ability to multi-task & prioritize in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple technical implementation projects simultaneously
  • Superior interpersonal, customer service, and negotiation skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Capable of handling multiple projects of various sizes simultaneously
  • Outstanding time management skills with a demonstrated track record of meeting deadlines
  • Strong analytical and independent problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexibility to be available for occasional night and weekend implementation projects, when required

Salary for this position is directly related to your own experience, knowledge, and skills. Estimated range for this role is $65,000 to $90,000
