About This Role
The Weapon Systems business is seeking a Manufacturing Project Manager for the Wilmington, MA location. The Manufacturing Project Manager will perform Earned Value management for the Operations group while assisting the Manufacturing Program Manager with executing operational commitments and completing contract deliverable documents. The Manufacturing Project Manager will also own their own projects and will coordinate with key stakeholders to execute activities across Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Production Control and Logistics and Planning.
This role requires excellent organization, teamwork, and communication skills to ensure program execution meets mission objectives. A successful candidate in this role will be self-driven, action-oriented, have strong written and verbal communication, and exhibit a team mentality. This position will report to the Manufacturing Program Manager within the Operations team.
Responsibilities:
  • Applying Earned Value (EV) techniques to monitor and control of the Performance Measurement Baseline.
  • Assisting the Manufacturing Program Manager with managing the financial, technical, and schedule requirements of a critical program subsystem to deliver products that are technically acceptable on-time and in a cost-effective manner.
  • Assist with Control Account Manager responsibilities for program budget including development of budgetary baseline, review of actual costs and managing variance analysis, monthly Latest Revised Estimate updates, Estimate At Complete analysis, and sales forecast updates.
  • Working closely with site Program Manager(s) and communicating operations progress across all stakeholders
  • Assist Manufacturing Program Manager with proposal generation and submittal to internal program team.
  • Assist Manufacturing Program Manager with related operations duties, understanding that the role is dynamic in nature.

Qualifications
Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or similar discipline required.
  • Understanding of Earned Value Management principles.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across organizational boundaries.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS office & excel.
  • Willingness to learn ERP system (Oracle ARMS) and Power BI
  • This position requires that the candidate be a US citizen with or capable of receiving a Secret level security clearance. Qualified applicants will be subject to a security investigation and must meet minimum qualifications for a Secret clearance.

Desired Skills:
  • PMP Certification or equivalent.
  • Experience with finance and scheduling software (Primavera).
  • Program Management experience in the defense industry a plus.
  • Prior US military or defense / aerospace industry experience.
