Overview

The Internal Communications and Change Specialist is a high-output role focused on content creation and tactical deployment using next-gen tools. You will balance traditional communication strategies with the integration of modern technology to drive employee engagement and organizational alignment.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Drive the execution of comprehensive strategic communications and change plans. Act as an in-house communications consultant to internal clients on all methods, processes, messaging, budgeting, and effectiveness.

  • Support the oversight and implementation of AI agents specifically designed to handle BAU (Business As Usual) tasks, ensuring efficiency in routine communications and automated workflows, for example persona based AI agents to help us write communications more consistently.

  • Work with the communications team and business partners to develop business-specific tactics and supporting communication plans (including audience, vehicles, dates, senders, etc.) that are appropriately aligned with the company's vision, business unit priorities, and audience needs.

  • Develop, write, edit, and design a wide range of internal communication assets and vehicles-including intranet articles, emails, executive messaging, print, video, webcasting, and podcasts-ensuring seamless management across both traditional and digital platforms.

  • Manage and contribute content to the enterprise-wide editorial/communications calendar. Ensure timely production and distribution of all materials ,including strong partnership with internal resources who creates weekly internal newsletters.

  • Bring external awards and recognition to life internally while identifying key internal stories to share with external audiences.

  • Keep business partners updated on key initiatives and progress against goals. Provide support for internal meetings, events, and community relations activities.

  • Ensure all internal messages are inclusive and representative of a diverse workforce.

  • Redesign internal communications process and management of editorial calendar to be more efficient.

Candidate Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, organizational change, marketing, or related field OR equivalent years of experience. Equivalent years of experience are defined as one year of applicable professional experience for each year of college requested.

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications, or digital marketing.

  • Proven experience or a strong aptitude for working with Generative AI (LLMs) and workflow automation tools (e.g., Gemini, ChatGPT, Jasper, Zapier, or proprietary AI agents).

  • Proficiency in AI-assisted copywriting, AI-assisted content creation, and channel management.

  • Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools. Certification in data analysis or business intelligence preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of communications tools like Mailchimp, Google Templates, ContactMonkey, Workshop, Poppulo and strong knowledge of Google Sheets and data analysis / manipulation to support distribution lists.

  • Portfolio of successful communications campaigns (e.g. newsletters, social media posts, podcasts, SMS strategy).

Base Pay RangeYearly: $70,700.00 - $92,000.00
