This role is responsible for providing accurate and competitive cost estimates for metal building projects. This position will collaborate closely with our sales and project management teams to deliver reliable and comprehensive estimates that meet the unique needs of our clients and adhere to our company’s high standards for quality and service.

As an Estimator, You Will:

  • Review architectural drawings, specifications, and other project documents to understand the scope of work and project requirements
  • Prepare detailed and accurate material take-offs and cost estimates for projects
  • Collaborate with sales team to clarify project requirements and resolve any discrepancies in project documents
  • Utilize industry specific software and tools to create comprehensive estimates
  • Use estimating software to determine linear and square footage to various metal structures and components
  • Design estimates that are used by sales for bidding purposes to confirm construction and labor costs for contract jobs
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the estimating process by identifying opportunities for efficiency and accuracy
Requirements:

Required Education, Experience & Skills:

  • High school diploma or GED with related experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction, business or related field experience preferred
  • 3 years’ experience in steel or construction business;
  • MBS experience required
  • Advanced problem-solving skills
  • Professional effective listening and communication skills
  • Proficient in clearly and efficiently deciphering documents and information received
  • Ability to read and understand architectural and structural drawings
  • Regular and predictable attendance is required
  • Position based onsite
