Job description

Your Contribution:
As a Warranty Analyst you will be responsible for supporting all aspects of the warranty process, including claim review, customer communication, returned-part evaluation, failure analysis, root cause investigation, and reporting. You will role work closely with customers and cross-functional teams to resolve warranty concerns, drive corrective actions, and improve product quality.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer warranty concerns, ensuring timely investigation and resolution of claims.
  • Review and validate customer warranty claims, dispute unsupported claims, and ensure compliance with warranty agreements and customer requirements.
  • Lead root cause investigations using structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D and 5-Why, identifying the source of product failures.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and other cross-functional teams to implement and verify corrective actions.
  • Meet customer timing requirements for Initial Technical Responses (ITRs), 8D reports, and other warranty-related deliverables.
  • Analyze warranty data, monitor warranty spending and performance trends, and identify opportunities to reduce warranty costs and future exposure.
  • Prepare and communicate technical findings, investigation results, risks, and recommendations to customers, management, and internal stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing warranty claims, improving product quality, and increasing customer satisfaction.

Your Experience & Qualifications:
  • Experience with automotive OEM warranty systems (e.g., GM, Ford, Stellantis, Mercedes-Benz, PACCAR, BMW, Nissan, Toyota, Honda).
  • Ability to perform hands-on evaluation and testing of returned products and components.
  • Proficiency in Power BI, Microsoft Excel, Power Query, and data analysis tools; experience with macros is preferred.
  • Knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer-specific automotive quality requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis and corrective action development.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and analyze technical and warranty data to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and customer organizations.
