What it's like to be a Reclamation Worker

As a Reclamation Worker, you will work 24 to 36 hours per week from Tuesday through Friday, starting around 3 PM. Your responsibilities will include preparing and sorting recyclable materials, unloading products from route trucks, and operating equipment such as balers to compress materials. You will follow directives from supervisors, transfer cardboard boxes and empty bottles for recycling, and crush bags of cans. It is essential to maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace. You will be responsible for safely operating forklift trucks and transporting materials between loading, processing, and storage areas.

Essential Functions & Requirements


• Demonstrate efficiency and adaptability in a warehouse environment.
• Capable of safely operating forklifts after receiving training and authorization from Fabiano Brothers.
• Show a strong commitment to working safely and effectively.
• Able to repetitively stack, move, and sort products weighing more than 50 lbs.
• Be reliable and punctual for shifts.
• Ability to work in a temperature-controlled environment (typically 60-64 degrees) with some outdoor exposure.
• Able to listen to and read work orders to identify items for moving, collecting, distributing, and shipping.
• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• Perform other assigned tasks and participate in meetings/training.
• Meet all physical job requirements.
