This is a hybrid role being onsite in Maple Plain, MN on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
 
The role of an Inside Sales Representative (ISR) at Protolabs involves managing a steady stream of transactional sales opportunities and orders specific to our CNC and 3D Printing service lines. This entry-level position is designed to support Protolabs' growth by effectively supporting customers through the sales processes, ensuring a smooth experience and driving business expansion. The ISR uses process-oriented approach to handle inside sales functions, with the primary responsibility of meeting and exceeding sales targets, customer acquisition goals and other company objectives.  
 
 
You Will
Opportunity and Pipeline Management:
  • Facilitate the progression of sales opportunities throughout the sales process, supporting design iterations and aligning with client buying requirements. 
  • Generating new opportunities, nurturing prospects, and engaging former contacts via different marketing events and or campaigns to maintain a dynamic sales pipeline. 
  • Evaluate and optimize performance by tracking metrics such as call outcomes, meeting scheduled, pipeline development, deals closed, and revenue growth to align with company objectives. 
Demand Generation/Lead Management:
  • Support lead generation efforts completing sale activities to drive lead qualification and conversions  
  • Nurture prospects and engage former customers via different marketing events and or campaigns generating new sales opportunities. 
  • Prepare, conduct, and facilitate customer meetings and presentations to increase awareness, drive customer relationship to grow & retain business. 
Customer Engagement and Retention:
  • Actively contribute to marketing events by driving awareness to Protolabs webinars, tradeshows, and other social/content engagements to enhance Protolabs' brand interaction and visibility. 
  • Conduct discovery calls to gain insights into customer needs, cultivating both new customer acquisition and existing relationships. 
  • Identifying and raising large or production sales opportunities to sales management in order to provide adequate support and resources ensuring positive customer outcomes. 
Operational and Administrative Responsibilities:
  • Maintain effective communications with internal partners on customer projects within Protolabs 
  • Utilize CRM software and sales tools effectively for managing pipeline insights, prioritizing opportunities, and ensuring timely follow-ups for designated projects and new prospects. 
  • Support and respond to general sales inquiries received via different communication channels (sales inbox, online forms, chat assistants, etc.) 
  • Maintain customer information by documenting & tracking engagement and interactions within Customer Resource Management software application 
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by Sales Management.

The base salary range for this role is $55,000 USD/year with a Total Cash Compensation of $65,000.
 
Protolabs offers a competitive total rewards package, and compensation mix vary based on position, such as base wage, as well as other earnings including incentives and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, job function, work experience, specialized skills, training, education, and certifications.
