Position Summary
The Software Engineering Intern is an entry-level or training role designed for an individual aspiring to become a software engineer, using application development concepts, processes, and tools. This position will be supporting the Application Development Output Team in Moda’s IT department. This is a FT WFH position.


Pay Range
$23.34 - $26.26 hourly (depending on experience).
Actual pay is based on qualifications. Applicants who do not exceed the minimum qualifications will only be eligible for the low end of the pay range.

Required Skills, Experience & Education:

  1. Sophomore or above pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Entry-level programming skills in scripting and/or object-oriented languages.
  3. Familiarity with basic database principles and SQL or similar language.
  4. Strong understanding of programming and technical skills.
  5. Ability to maintain confidentiality and project a professional business image.
  6. Dependable attendance and ability to come into work per an agreed-upon schedule.

Primary Functions:

  1. Assist in developing and maintaining SQL stored procedures and related objects.
  2. Create or update Power BI reports.
  3. Perform development testing.
  4. Collaborate with other engineers.
  5. Perform other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:

  • Office environment with extensive close PC and keyboard use, constant sitting, and frequent phone communication. Must be able to navigate multiple computer screens. A reliable, high-speed, hard-wired internet connection required to support remote or hybrid work. Must be comfortable being on camera for virtual training and meetings. Work in excess of standard workweek, including evenings and occasional weekends, to meet business need.
  • Internally with supported departments.
