About the Role:
Cronos Fire and Electrical Corp. is looking for a skilled Fire Alarm Technician to join our growing team in Brooklyn, NY. This is your opportunity to work on critical life-safety systems that protect people and properties across the region. Responsibilities:
  • Install, inspect, test, and maintain fire alarm systems in commercial and residential properties
  • Troubleshoot and repair fire alarm panels, detectors, pull stations, and notification devices
  • Perform system programming and configuration for fire alarm control panels (FACPs)
  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications
  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance and annual inspections per NFPA 72 standards
  • Document all service, inspection, and installation work accurately and thoroughly

Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in fire alarm installation, service, or inspection
  • NYC Fire Alarm Technician Certificate of Fitness (S-98) preferred or required
  • Working knowledge of NFPA 72 and local NYC fire code regulations
  • Experience with major fire alarm brands (Notifier, Simplex, Honeywell, EST, or similar)
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical wiring diagrams
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in the field
