About the Role:
First Call Security Innovations LLC is looking for a skilled Fire Alarm Technician to join our growing team in Houston, TX. This is your opportunity to play a critical role in protecting lives and property by installing, inspecting, and maintaining fire alarm systems. Responsibilities:
  • Install, program, test, and commission fire alarm systems in commercial and residential settings
  • Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and system testing in compliance with NFPA 72 standards
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot fire alarm system malfunctions and perform timely repairs
  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
  • Complete accurate service reports, inspection documentation, and as-built drawings
  • Coordinate with contractors, project managers, and AHJs (Authorities Having Jurisdiction)
  • Ensure all work meets local, state, and national fire and life safety codes
Requirements:
  • Texas State Fire Alarm License (FAL) or ability to obtain one
  • Strong knowledge of NFPA 72 and local fire codes
  • Experience with major fire alarm brands (Notifier, Simplex, Honeywell, or similar)
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
