Job description

Danville Metal Stamping Co., Inc. is hiring for entry-level Sheet Metal Workers. Sheet Metal Workers are responsible for operating a variety of hand tools to perform sheet metal assembly, forming, and fabricating of aerospace engine parts.
Essential functions of the position include:
  • Operate hand tools and machinery to assemble, form, grind, and fabricate sheet metal
  • Inspect parts and materials during the production process
  • Basic computer skills
  • Read and interpret blueprints and customer specifications
  • Use calipers, micrometers, height stands, and indicators
  • Daily housekeeping/6S duties
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications for the position include:
  • Demonstrated ability with basic math skills
  • Prior experience with sheet metal work, including assembling, grinding, or forming is preferred
  • Demonstrated mechanical ability
  • Strong problem solving skills, attention to detail, and organizational skills is preferred
  • While performing duties of the job, the employee is required with or without accommodation to:
    • Regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs.
    • Frequently required to stand and walk and occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
    • Frequently required to use hands to handle, feel, and reach

Compensation and Benefits Summary:
  • Pay Range: $16.00-$17.00/hour
