This entry level scientific role plays a critical role in ensuring specimen integrity, maintaining accurate documentation, supporting quality initiatives, and helping the laboratory operate efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform specimen accessioning, processing, sample racking, and laboratory support functions.
  • Utilize laboratory automation systems and equipment to support workflow efficiency.
  • Maintain laboratory cleanliness and perform routine maintenance activities.
  • Handle, process, and dispose of specimens according to laboratory procedures and safety requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation using Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Complete required laboratory documentation accurately and on time.
  • Support laboratory inspections, audits, SOP development, and compliance initiatives.
  • Follow all laboratory safety regulations and procedures.
  • Participate in quality improvement and process improvement initiatives.
  • Support departmental goals aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented laboratory environment.

Qualifications

  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Biology, microbiology, biochemistry or related science preferred
  • Familiar with basic laboratory skills
