Scientific Literature Review Associate

Location: Hybrid (3 days remote, 2 days on-site)
* Candidates must currently live within commuting distance of Rosemont, IL
Schedule: 30 hours per week
Duration: Contract assignment expected to continue through the end of 2026
Pay Range: $30-40/hour
Requirements: Applicants must have a personal computer and reliable internet access.

Position Summary

Kelly Science is seeking a Scientific Literature Specialist to support the development of evidence-based clinical practice guidelines. This hybrid contract opportunity is ideal for candidates with an advanced scientific background and experience critically evaluating biomedical literature. The successful candidate will collaborate with internal teams to review scientific evidence, develop summary tables, and support research initiatives that contribute to high-quality clinical guideline development.

Responsibilities
  • Identify, review, and analyze scientific literature for assigned clinical guideline topics.
  • Coordinate literature searches with the Medical Librarian.
  • Evaluate and select relevant clinical studies for inclusion in guideline development.
  • Develop evidence summary tables from selected scientific publications for internal use.
  • Assess the quality, design, and strength of clinical studies and trials.
  • Provide scientific research support for departmental projects and requests.
  • Manage multiple assignments while working independently and meeting project deadlines.
Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in Biology, Life Sciences, Public Health, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Experience evaluating peer-reviewed clinical or scientific journal articles.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medical writing.
  • Proficiency using PubMed/MEDLINE and other biomedical literature databases.
  • Demonstrated ability to critically appraise clinical research and evidence.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
  • Experience collaborating with physicians, clinicians, or other healthcare professionals is a plus.
  • Prior experience with evidence-based clinical practice guideline development is strongly preferred.
