Job description

Reporting to the Manager, Sales Development the Sales Development Representative (SDR) plays a critical role within the Sales team by identifying new business opportunities, engaging prospective clients, and building a strong pipeline of qualified leads. This role exists to drive revenue growth by expanding Voices' reach into new markets, strengthening relationships with potential customers, and supporting the acquisition of new hiring managers and client accounts. Through proactive outreach, market research, relationship-building, and close collaboration with Sales and Marketing teams, the SDR helps accelerate business growth and position Voices as a trusted partner in the voice-over and creative services industry.

How You'll Contribute

The following areas represent the primary focus of the role, though responsibilities may evolve over time. You’ll be expected to take ownership of these functions while remaining adaptable to changing business needs and priorities:

  • Generate a Consistent Pipeline of Qualified Opportunities: Identify, research, and engage prospective clients through outbound prospecting efforts, creating a steady flow of qualified opportunities that support revenue growth and business expansion.

  • Expand Relationships with New and Existing Clients: Build meaningful connections with hiring managers and decision-makers, helping uncover new opportunities within existing accounts while introducing Voices to new organizations and markets.

  • Increase Revenue Through Strategic Prospecting: Leverage phone outreach, email campaigns, social selling, networking, and lead intelligence tools to connect with high-potential prospects and convert interest into sales opportunities.

  • Strengthen the Sales Funnel Through Effective Lead Nurturing: Guide prospects through the early stages of the buyer journey by understanding business challenges, addressing questions, and delivering relevant information that supports purchasing decisions.

  • Deliver Actionable Market and Customer Insights: Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to provide valuable insights that inform sales strategies, marketing initiatives, and product development decisions.

  • Drive Operational Excellence Through Data and Collaboration: Maintain accurate CRM records, track pipeline activity, and collaborate closely with Sales and Marketing teams to ensure seamless lead handoffs, reporting accuracy, and continuous process improvement.

What You Bring

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Experience: Experience in a sales, business development, lead generation, or customer-facing role with a demonstrated ability to achieve performance targets. Experience engaging with or selling to enterprise-level customers is strongly preferred. Experience conducting outbound prospecting, building relationships with prospective customers, qualifying leads, and managing pipeline activity is highly valued. Familiarity with CRM platforms (such as Salesforce) and sales engagement tools is considered an asset. Familiarity with LinkedIn, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and virtual meeting platforms such as Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams is preferred.
