Job Title: Spare Sales Representative
Reports To: District Sales Manager
FLSA Status: Exempt
Classification: Full Time
Job Summary: The Spare Sales Representative is an entry-level sales position that is responsible for supporting the Sales Representatives given accounts during vacancies and absences while being held accountable for customer satisfaction and SCP Sales standards.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • None

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for strengthening retailer relations.
  • Maintaining account rapport, case sales replenishment and growth, quality assurance of products, and follow-up communication.
  • Responsible for effective planning and execution of sales promotions.
  • Accountable for customer satisfaction.
  • Responsible for compliance with the company's Product Freshness Rotation Policy.
  • Responsible for partnering and communicating with dedicated account Service Representatives to ensure excellent customer service and product quality/quantity.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills and maintaining quality standards of products by rotation.
  • Ability to solve practical problems.
  • Ability to work in a friendly manner as part of a team and to develop effective working relationships with colleagues and customers.
  • Ability to accurately add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure.
  • Ability to be punctual in meeting route scheduling and details involved.
  • Intermediate computer skills, particularly in Word and Excel.
  • Represents SCP's commitment to excellence through PARTNERS values.
  • Possesses a valid driver's license in the state of residence while maintaining a good driving record.

Education/Experience:
  • Experience in beverage distribution or related sales preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED.

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Administrative and sitting 40%
  • Walking, standing, bending, lifting, and twisting 60%
