Job Responsibilities:

Mission of the Position:

The Purchasing Analyst supports purchasing operations through supplier risk management, data analysis, reporting, and coordination with commodity teams. This entry-level role focuses on maintaining accurate supplier data, supporting risk management activities, and driving process improvements, while contributing to global purchasing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support supplier risk management activities, including documentation completion and tracking outstanding information

  • Maintain and update supplier data and purchasing records within internal systems

  • Follow up with commodity teams and suppliers to ensure data accuracy and completeness

  • Collaborate with plants and global teams to align monthly reporting and improve data consistency

  • Assist with purchasing analytics, reporting, and performance tracking of purchasing initiatives

  • Contribute to automation and reporting enhancements, including dashboard development (e.g., Power BI)

  • Partner with IT, Finance, Operations, and Process teams to support system and process improvements

  • Learn and apply purchasing systems, processes, and best practices

  • Provide support for trade compliance and supplier-related projects as required

  • Conduct market research and analysis to support purchasing decisions

  • Perform ad hoc analyses and project-based tasks as assigned

  • Stay informed on emerging technologies (e.g., AI tools) and share insights with the team

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field

  • 0-2 years of relevant experience (internship or co-op experience preferred)

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with Power BI

  • Basic understanding of purchasing, supply chain, risk management, or finance principles.

  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
