Position Summary
The Sales Support Specialist plays a key role in supporting day-to-day sales operations for Walmart and other major retail accounts. This position focuses on data analysis, reporting, item setup, and cross-functional coordination, ensuring accurate execution of customer requests and smooth account management.
This role works closely with Sales, Product Development, Supply Chain, and Marketing teams, and requires strong familiarity with Walmart systems such as Retail Link, Scintilla, and SupplierOne.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain weekly POS, shipment, and inventory reports using Retail Link and Scintilla, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Support item setup, maintenance, and content accuracy in SupplierOne and Item360, ensuring compliance with Walmart requirements
  • Assist in analyzing sales performance, instock levels, and inventory health, and provide actionable insights to the sales team
  • Coordinate internally on sample tracking, packaging, and project timelines to support buyer meetings and seasonal line reviews
  • Support preparation of sales presentations, line reviews, and buyer meetings (including data validation and slide development)
  • Follow up on claims, defective allowances, chargebacks, and pricing updates with Walmart and internal teams
  • Maintain organized records of item data, communication logs, and ongoing account activities
  • Provide administrative and operational support to ensure efficient execution of Walmart account initiatives
Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related field
Experience
  • 13 years of experience in sales support, account coordination, or retail/vendor operations
  • Experience supporting Walmart or large retail accounts is strongly preferred
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, Power Query)
  • Familiarity with Retail Link, Scintilla, SupplierOne, and Item360
  • Ability to analyze data and translate it into clear, actionable insights
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling item and sales data
  • Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
