Pay rate: $16.90/hour + tips

Roth SocialHouse in Turlock, CA is looking to hire a part-time Hostess / Host to greet guests as they enter our restaurant and then show them to their table or the waiting area. This part-time entry-level position earns a competitive wage of $16.90 per hour plus tips. We provide excellent perks, including employee meals and an upbeat, passionate, and friendly work environment. Additionally, we offer our Hostesses / Hosts employee meals. If this sounds like the right part-time hospitality opportunity for you, apply today!

ABOUT ROTH SOCIALHOUSE

Roth SocialHouse is an upscale, casual dining restaurant where families, friends, and couples can enjoy scratch-made meals. Our cuisine is locally sourced and globally inspired - all set in an upbeat and enjoyable social environment.

Our team is full of creative people who are passionate about their work. The Roth culture encourages a compassionate, full-of-life atmosphere where our employees feel unique and unconfined. Being bold, inspiring, loving, and humble is at the heart of everything we do. Because we value our team's integrity and dedication, we offer an opportunity for people to develop their talents--and we are invested in their success!

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A HOSTESS / HOST

In this hospitality position, you warmly greet our guests over the phone or when they arrive at our restaurant. You welcome everybody with a smile as soon as they walk in, communicate wait times clearly, and escort them to their table as soon as it is ready, handing out menus and answering any questions they have. When complaints or concerns arise, you address them with patience and empathy, bringing them to the attention of management when necessary. Your customer service skills shine as you help each person in our restaurant.

At the beginning of your shift, you count the money in the cash drawers to ensure the amounts are correct and that there is adequate change. Using the point-of-sale (POS) system, you accurately ring up customer orders. With attention to detail, you calculate total payments received during a time period and reconcile this with total sales. You are not only the first person customers see when they arrive, you are also the last person they see as they leave.
