POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to theDirector of Operations, theOperations & Compliance Coordinatorplays a critical role in ensuring the seamless execution oflogistics, compliance, and operational workflows across The Battery Network'sbattery recycling programs. This role supports the organization's ability to scale by managing day-to-day operational tasks,maintainingregulatory compliance, and driving process improvements across a complex network of service providers, vendors, and internal teams. This is a remote position that could spend an estimated 5 days per month collaborating on site with a closely integrated vendor who is located north-west of metro Atlanta. Only candidates who live within 50 miles of Marietta, GA, will be considered.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties and responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to the following:
Logistics& Shipment Coordination
  • Manage end-to-end shipmentlogistics, including scheduling, process documentation, and troubleshooting for high-volume and specializedshipments.
  • Maintain trackers and dashboards to monitor inventory, create inventory movement, and manage deliverytimelines.
  • Coordinate with freight brokers, battery recycling processors, and external vendors to ensuretimelypickups and deliveries, including resolving shipment refusals and rerouting asneeded.
  • Provide on-site support for process development, innovation, system implementation, and change management assistance at preferred vendors.
  • Potential oversight and coordination of Operations Interns or other student project groups, as needed

Compliance & Quality Assurance
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., International Organization for Standardization [ISO], Department of Transportation [DOT]) and internal standards for battery handling, sorting, andreporting.
  • Investigate and resolve data discrepancies such as duplicate or unknown enterprise resource planning (ERP)entries.
  • Support audit readiness and vendor performance tracking through detailed reporting anddocumentation.

Data Management & Reporting
  • Maintain and update operational data systems (e.g., ERP) withaccurateshipment, backlog, and ERP entryinformation.
  • Collaborate on the development of automated alerts and dashboards for regulated state compliance, throughput, and unattributedreporting.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Compliance,Supply Chain,OperationsManagementor related fieldAND/OR
  • 1-3 years' experience in operations compliance,supplychainor administrative coordination.
  • Mustbe authorized towork lawfully in the United States for The Battery Network, with or without sponsorship.

  • Strong knowledge oflogisticsand nurturing vendor relationships.
  • Strongproficiencyin Microsoft Office Suite (Excel) and operations software.

WORKING CONDITIONS
  • This position is remote based within 50 miles of Marietta, GA. Only candidates who live within 50 miles of Marietta, GA, will be considered. Candidates must be eligible to work lawfully in the United States for The Battery Network.
  • Limited overnight travel (estimated 3-5 times per year) as needed. Travel could include, but not be limited to, attending conferences, on-site vendor meetings, or team/organization-wide meetings.
  • This role may require on-site presence in GA up to five (5) days per month, including working in industrial environments and the ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.
  • This position requires the ability to travel to on-site locations as needed using reliable transportation. Mileage incurred for approved business travel is reimbursed per company policy.
  • Standard work hours are Monday-Friday, 8 hours per day. Some roles may require additional hours during peak periods. We prioritize the quality and timeliness of work over rigid schedules and recognize the importance of connection, collaboration, and work-life balance. To support this, we offer flexible scheduling where roles allow, and in alignment with current policy, while ensuring operational needs and team collaboration are met.
