We are hiring a Staff Accountant for a full-time, fully remote contract opportunity supporting a mission-driven healthcare organization.

This position is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys reconciliations, financial reporting, invoice processing, budgeting, and detailed financial analysis. Healthcare accounting, medical claims, or government healthcare revenue experience is highly desirable.

What You'll Do
  • Perform account and financial reconciliations

  • Review, code, and process corporate and clinical invoices

  • Coordinate with external claims processors regarding patient medical expenses

  • Reconcile monthly government capitation payments against member eligibility records

  • Verify financial information in partnership with enrollment teams

  • Audit employee expense reports for policy compliance

  • Assist with journal entries and general accounting activities

  • Prepare draft financial statements and regulatory reports

  • Support annual budgeting and monthly budget-to-actual variance analysis

  • Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation

  • Protect confidential financial and healthcare-related information

  • Assist with additional accounting projects as needed

Required Qualifications

Candidates must have at least ONE of the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, OR
